First look at TV series based on the Gerard Butler Has Fallen film series.

Bulter who will act as a producer may guess in it but it won't be based around his character

When a terrorist group led by the villainous Jacob Pearce attacks a high-profile event, with the French Minister of Defence as their target, protection officer Vincent Taleb finds himself working with street-smart MI6 operative Zara Taylor to save the day. But when events take a dark turn, Vincent and Zara soon realize that the plan extends beyond just one politician. When they suspect that one of their colleagues in the security services is feeding information to Jacob, Vincent and Zara find themselves needing to rely only on each other. Increasingly isolated and with Jacob always one step ahead, can this unlikely pair stop Paris from falling to a man hell-bent on vengeance?

Watched the first two episodes and I have to say it's a whole lot of fun just like the movies.

Must say it's really good if a bit far fetched. It's enjoyable though.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

This is a surprisingly great show. Giving off 24 vibes that I miss! (24 the show, not 24 different vibes) 🙂

Sean Harris really is getting typecast as the bad spy these days but he does it so well.

24 obviously never aired in France or they would've known there's always a mole.

Dunno why they didn't just shoot the right hand woman before she got on the helicopter, unless there were ones with guns on there as well.

Nicely set up now for next weeks season finale.

Season finale is actually out there as well though the version I saw available didn't have subs for the French parts. May have just been one scene but I stopped watching. Maybe will be available tomorrow.

I know episode 6 had the first scene with the president and her assistant talking without subs as wellin the version I saw.

Finale watched and if you wanna know if it was all wrapped up or is it left open for a second season -

everything wrapped up for the most part. Unless they follow up on who was funding Pearce and the one helping him.

Overall, I liked it. Some stretches in the plot like

I don't believe Simone would've been given so much information about the bomb with regard the spotter and the cameras.

Or for such a high threat, why did it seem to only have 2 agents working on it, getting help on occasion.

If there is another series it might be something to do with the female contractor heading off to Africa after agreeing to take part in whatever plot the person who hired her is involved in. Africa Has Fallen might be a good title. 😛

    All epsiodes now on Amazon.

That was a really fun show that fit in very well with the over the top Gerard Butler movies.

It will be interesting to see if it gets a second season as they have left parts of the story open to be continued which maybe even in the next moive Night has Fallen.

Since it was annoying me that no version of Episode 6 had the subs for the president scene, I looked it up and found a thread on reddit. Just in case anyone else was wondering. 😀

    Character

    French line

    Translation

    woman

    Madame la présidente ?

    Madam President?

    the president

Pearce a dit ce qu'il comptait faire de cette bombe ?

Did Pearce say what he planned to do with that bomb?

    woman

Non. Son interrogatoire n'a rien donné

No. His interrogation didn't give any results

    the president

Il doit bien avoir une exigence... quelque chose qu'il cherche à obtenir.

He must have some demand... something that he wants.

    woman

Si c'est le cas, il ne nous en a pas parlé.

If he does, he didn't tell us.

    the president

Qu-est-ce qu'ils vont faire de Pearce maintenant?

What are they going to do with Pearce now?

    woman

Il va être incuplé et jugé

He will be charged and stand trial.

    the président

Il faut trouver une solution... définitive.

A solution must be found. A permanent one.

It's a pain in the arris with some of those "multinational" series, and the subtitles you either get or don't get. I don't think that scene was the only one with no subtitles, and you have to rely on facial expressions to give you a bit of a clue. Whatever French I ever learned has long been forgotten, apart from merde.😛

There were shorter scenes with no subs. But thought this one may have tied into Pearce being moved to a black site. And seems it did.

    so bad, so stupid

surely if the guy had leaked what the prez had done to the press he could have solved all this?
