New Franke Sink - Waste Disposal Integration

    Hello Folks,

    Wanted to float this for any advice, much appreciated.

    Twin bowl Frankie Sink, small and large bowl, with overflow in the large bowl. Overflow connects into the ‘spring loaded plug component/assembly’, another ‘manual plug component/assembly’ supplied for the other bowl.

    Fitting waste disposal to under large bowl so I have to place the spring loaded plug assembly in the small bowl, the thing is the overflow seems too long to fit in this position, in the instructions they say it can be cut to size but I am not that comfortable with cutting it that short, picture (is sideways);

    As you can see it’s quite tight.

    would you go ahead and cut this right down and finish with a good bead of silicone to seal it? Or should I be concerned about how much cutting back has to be done?

    Thanks

    Bob

    I think I’d cut it back and do a good job with TEC7 as an additional seal.

    Thanks @Lenar3556

    I got some advice and thankfully no cutting needed, found some 21mm flexi hose (for a washing machine I believe in Screwfix) pushed the bigger end onto the overflow it actually fit perfectly. Brought the other end down/over to the overflow on the disposal and used a single spigot to connect it. The hose didn’t fit the spigot as good but was able to make a little cut and got it to squeeze over, bit of silicon and one of those steel screw sinch pipe clamps. Worked like a dream and no cutting of the overflow component.
