Driveway Chippings

    Looking at freshening up the driveway with a new layer of chippings - any idea what the description of the above stone size is?

    Looks like 20mm limestone chips. You'd want to check on the size though, its hard to see and different places might grade a bit differently. They can be got cheaply directly from quarries depending on where you are. I got them a couple of years ago for €30 a tonne delivered loose.

    Looks like standard pea gravel. Don't work for them but I've used turf lawn sales in maynooth and find them good value to buy stone from

    Just a thought, if you replaced the old kerbs instead of the gravel refresh, it would look a lot better......

    Just take a handful of them and visit a nearby quarry, they will tell you what it is and quote you if they have it. Buy it straight from the quarry.
