This 3 day meeting has had 184 races since 2012 with 61 being handicaps.
Finding big priced winners is tough.
From 1194 that went off at 11/1+ only 21 prevailed. No handicaps have been won by any horse priced greater than 25/1. 80% of the handicaps have been won by runners priced 10/1 or less and 90% of all non handicap races.
You've got to have a very good justification to back a big priced runner.
There are just 6 trainers that each have a strike rate of 20% plus at this meeting and collectively they have accounted for 90 of the 184 races on offer or 49% of all races.
They are: G. ELLIOTT(36 winners), N MEADE (13), BROMHEAD (15), HARRINGTON (12), WP MULLINS (8) & G CROMWELL (6)

Two trainers have an excellent record in the handicaps namely MRS HARRINGTON (4/10 win record) and M BRASSIL (3/10 win record) and historically half their runners have been placed.
