Israel this Israel that. I was trying to make a simple point about Egypts lacklustre assistance in the 17 years that they controlled the crossing. But you couldnt accept that it wasnt all a cunning ruse by the opposition. Thats why Im still here. Because of those blinkers.

Someone from your opposition will be along shortly to address this point, with a counterpoint.

Which you can then counter. And so forth. Ad nauseum.

I find this post eerily reminiscent of Vladimir Putin blaming Poland for World War II. The victim-blaming literally reminded me of this:

Israel certainly had casus belli in October 2023. They have every right to defend themselves and their territory from attack, within the bounds of law.

That there has been no credible threat to Israel for over a year now is indicative of them just pounding their enemies out of revenge and retribution. Of course, there is also the illegal annexation of land in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria.

Since the time of zero credible threats, Israel has murdered many tens of thousands of innocent civilians. They are starving them to death, denying them shelter, withholding medical supplies (after bombing the hospitals) and terrorising them daily.

It is of no surprise to anyone that even as politically connected as they are, Israel is before the ICJ for Genocide and two of its leaders currently on the run from the ICC accused of War Crimes.

As I posted earlier, if Israel is found to have committed Genocide and its leaders guilty of War Crimes (the evidence now being beyond doubt), supporters of Israel and the Israelis themselves will hang their heads in shame.

Those that go further and justify in any way what Israel has done are depraved and lack any basic sense of humanity. They are accessories to the fact.

Whilst there are thousands of examples of the War Crimes the IDF has committed and their spineless denial and lies, the current newsworthy atrocity of the 15 medics is a case in point.

That you think Israel has casus belli and is entitled to bind the hands and feet of medics, summarily execute them bury them in the sand is disgusting in my opinion.

The borders are indefensible…. The borders they had before a war that they won…… In 6 days.

And as others have said, why colonize the territory. Civilians provide no military protection.

Of course Israel is not constrained to the 1967 borders. It has illegally occupied land that does not belong to it - in fact, the ICJ has ordered Israel to withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank and pay reparations. It has being acting illegally for decades and simply killing anyone in its way.

And of course, this is Israel simply enacting its own ethic cleansing mantra:

Between the sea and the Jordan there will be only Israeli sovereignty

Unlike the Palestinians however, Israel is enacting its Genocidal mandate.

A literal ambush like in a Wild West movie. Wait in the dark 50m from the missing ambulances, see the ambulances arrive with their lights, murder 15 people, bury them and the vehicles, lie to the world and say the lights were off, get exposed as lying because of a video on a dead man's phone in a shallow grave, face no repercussions when the truth comes out, and go meet Donald Trump to talk about tariffs instead of being arrested for war crime accusations.

If you continue to support Israel at this stage, you have more in common with Amon Göth than a normal decent person.

    Systematic torture and abuse -

"Palestinian detainees released back to Gaza have told the BBC they were subjected to mistreatment and torture at the hands of Israeli military and prison staff, adding to reports of misconduct within Israel's barracks and jails.

One man said he was attacked with chemicals and set alight. "I thrashed around like an animal in an attempt to put the fire out [on my body]," said Mohammad Abu Tawileh, a 36-year-old mechanic.

We have conducted in-depth interviews with five released detainees, all of whom were arrested in Gaza in the months after Hamas and other groups killed about 1,200 people in Israel and took 251 hostage. The men were held under Israel's Unlawful Combatants Law, a measure by which people suspected of posing a security risk can be detained for an unspecified period without charge, as Israel set out to recover the hostages and dismantle the proscribed terror group."

Which is why you cant see that Egypts policy has been lacking.

Egypt's policy is not lacking; they just know that as soon as they open the gates to Palestinians Israel will push them all out the same way. It would be a massive result for Israel and suddenly Egypt has a refugee crisis that they had no act in. It's not a realistic solution in any sense.

The targeted mass murder of journalists -

"The Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs has said Israel’s war on Gaza is now the deadliest ever for media workers, according to its Costs of War project.

The United States-based think tank’s report released last week stated that Israeli forces have killed 232 journalists and media workers since the war in the enclave began following the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas on southern Israel.

The figures demonstrate that more journalists have been killed in the conflict than in both world wars, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia and the US war in Afghanistan combined, the report said."

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/apr/07/israel-military-gaza-perimeter-land-testimony-report

Despite shoot-to-kill orders, a warrant officer stationed in northern Gaza said Palestinians kept going back to the area “again and again after we fired at them”.

The officer said the Palestinians appeared to want to pick edible plants growing in the area. “There was hubeiza [mallow] there because no one went near there. People are hungry, so they come with bags to pick hubeiza, I think.”

Some got away with their food and their lives, the officer said. “The thing is that, at that point, the IDF really is fulfilling the public’s wishes, which state: ‘There are no innocents in Gaza’.”

In an interview with the Guardian, the same officer said the Hamas attack on 7 October 2023 made many Israelis feel the “need to pick up a gun”.

“A lot of us went there, I went there, because they killed us and now we’re going to kill them,” they said. “And I found out that we’re not only killing them – we’re killing them, we’re killing their wives, their children, their cats, their dogs. We’re destroying their houses and pissing on their graves.”

Shooting starving people who are trying to get some food, after you have blockaded food and destroyed a massive strip of land.

A war crimes complaint against 10 Britons who served with the Israeli military in Gaza is to be submitted to the Met police by one of the UK’s leading human rights lawyers.

Michael Mansfield KC is one of a group of lawyers who will on Monday hand in a 240-page dossier to Scotland Yard’s war crimes unit alleging targeted killing of civilians and aid workers, including by sniper fire, and indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas, including hospitals.

Very naive and insincere to think that the Israelis are more victimised than the Palestinians. Not even once have I saw you condemn the Israelis for their continued War Crimes. Always someone else's fault for making them murder people.

The World is slowly coming to the realisation of the depth of cruelty inflicted by the IDF and how the Israeli government is protecting and encouraging them to commit their War Crimes. Slowly but surely all their crimes will come to light. The question then is how will it be dealt with if at all? The words '' Never Again'' will be worthless if Israel gets away with these crimes. Israel must be punished for their inhumanity.

It looks like there may be an issue with the reported number of deaths in Gaza. The lists appear to be quite unreliable. Researchers found numerous mistakes, as well as discrepancies in the age and gender of those reported killed. These inconsistencies can influence whether the casualties are seen as evidence of indiscriminate killings or as typical combatant deaths in urban warfare.

In other news, Bibi is visiting Trump this evening. God only knows what Trump might say after their meeting. At least the markets will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

I very much doubt that our spineless political class would have ordered his arrest had he landed here. Although it would have been fun to see Martin trying to squirm out of it.

There might be a problem, or it might be…..

"HonestReporting or Honest Reporting is an Israeli media advocacy group.[1] A pro-Israel media watchdog,[2][3] it describes its mission as "combat[ting] ideological prejudice in journalism and the media, as it impacts Israel".

IDF soldiers coming out now and describing in detail clearing farmland, houses, factories, everything really in order to create kill zones. Describing literal war crimes in detail. Hopefully every one of them will face some sort of justice

This kind of talk really doesn't help.

"Trump: "You know how I feel about the Gaza Strip. I think it's an incredible piece of important real estate. And I think it's something that we would be involved in. Having a peace force like the US there controlling and owning the Gaza Strip would be a good thing ... you call it the Freedom Zone."

More Israeli support BS. Are you ever going to answer the question I asked you earlier in the thread?

Trump is an enigma. He is busy shutting down abortion services in the US, yet he meets and greets the man at the head of one of the worst cases of child killing in the world. Hard to see sense in that, but there's no sense in much of what he envisages for gaza. I seen on some of the papers he sees the US in Gaza as peacekeepers in a US Gaza, a freedom state. He's more of a problem than a solution anyway for sure.

Israel is a terrorist state, just like Russia. Unlike Russia, it's a democracy, so the population are even more complicit.

When you run out of lies then stop talking for awhile and then start lying all over again. There are no answers to cover up those murders when it's all on video. A murderous pariah state.
