One radiator not getting hot (new radiator)

    Hi all

Recently got our bathroom done up during the summer and there's a new towel rail radiator fitted in place of the old towel rad.

Anyways.... after turning the heating on recently the rad didn't heat up so I bled it and it worked then for a few days. Then it stopped heating but the valve at the bottom and pipework is getting the hot water as its hot to touch. Closed off all other rads in the house and left towel rad open and turned on heating and the radiator heats up fine and there's no air bleeding from it either....

I'm thinking it could possibly be a faulty valve? Any other info from someone more experienced?

    Thanks in advance

you could try adjusting the lock shield valve as it might be closed off to much

Both valves are fully open 👍

Anyone else any ideas? Has taken about a week but the rad is only getting warm now as opposed to hot.

It sounds like a balancing issue.

The lock shield valve on some radiators may need to be closed slightly to direct flow to the towel rail. Find the hottest radiator, close this lockshield a quarter of a turn and repeat this process around the house until you have satisfactory circulation to all radiators. It will take some time to get it right.
