New Car Choice

Hi all,

Will be needing a new car in a few months, my current one is starting to give me some trouble and not worth keeping it due to its age and price of tax. I'm not a massive car head, probably prefer to get something more practical than something that would turn heads. I have around a 250km weekly commute to work, 7km of city driving and the rest on a main road. what would be a good buy for around 12.5k mark? I have been looking at a few diesels but nothing has really stood out. currently driving a 2006 car that has served me well.

You’ll get a pretty nice Prius for that budget. Should suit your needs perfectly.

You're in Ioniq territory for driving type and budget if you're willing to look at electric cars and have the facility to home charge. Charge twice per week

That’s a good shout too. With the roll out of smart meters you can get an overnight tariff to charge your car for peanuts at home now.

Good shout lads, have been recommended some petrol cars of a few lads I know, never really considered any hybrid/electric car so will take a look.
