Red nun stories, Ballina Co. Mayo

    Does anyone here from Ballina remember the stories of the red nun that haunts the Convent of Mercy?

    I'm doing a project in college where I have to collect, record and transcribe old tales and as she was the stuff of my childhood nightmares would love to include her.

    If you remember her or know of anyone that does or even if she's mentioned in any local history books and you wouldn't mind getting in touch for a chat that would be amazing. There were some fantastic, creepy tales of her back in the day and it really would be a shame for them to be lost to time.
