Heads up on deadline date for backdated pension payments

    The pension section of My Account that deals with lump sums has been changed and you now need to upload the Certificate before the deadline date for 2022 payments.

    In previous years you did not need the Certificate, you just needs to have the payment made to the pension provider before the deadline date.

    If you're thinking about backdating a payment to 2022, get it done early as everyone else is doing the same thing and companies are going to be extremely busy.

    No word yet if Revenue will reverse this change or make some other accommodation.
