Outdoor water tank lagging

    Hi all,

During renovation and replumbing, we got a cylindrical 180l outdoor water tank installed. I purchased the vendor's lagging jacket and installed it, but it's not fit for purpose. After less than a year, the black plastic cover has started breaking down and strong winds during the week ripped a lot of it off, exposing the underlying insulation and littering the yard with little pieces of black plastic.

Can someone recommend a better, more sturdy product that can stand up to the old UV, or even a better approach? I thought about building a box around it, but the problem with that is it can create a heat trap in sunny weather and foster germ/algae buildup.

    Thanks for any insights 🙂

Why do you have a 180l water tank in your yard?

    Because the plumber installed one.

He replaced a much larger tank. House was rented out in units previously, half a dozen or so bathrooms to cover.
