BIK on professional fees

I recently changed job and the new employer is not covering my professional subs net of tax but I have to pay BIK.

In all my previous employments I was getting them paid net of tax. Due to my role in previous employment I know that they were not paying the BIK on my behalf. It was just paid to all accountants or solicitors net of tax.

New employer when I challenged them said this is the law.

I read online views by Deloitte or other audit companies and they are very generic the comments.

Any feedback? Any experience? Has anyone managed to get the tax back from revenue?

    Thanks
