Fide rating for first timer

I participated in a fide rated tournament with icu -The CUS Chess Congress 2023 - this weekend but I was wondering how does the fide rating get applied? I didn't have a rating beforehand as it was my first tournament. Do I have to do something ? Does your performance rating become your fide rating?

See https://handbook.fide.com/chapter/B022022, sections 7.1.4 and 8.2.
Basically, you will get a new rating after you have played 5 games against FIDE rated opponents, with a couple of other requirements.

Presumably because of the change in ICU rating officer, this event is scheduled to go to FIDE in time for inclusion in the November ratings.
As stated above you will not get a published rating until you have played sufficient rated games.
