I tried to (re)sync the controller to the receiver by pressing the "reset" button. It makes the short beep followed by the long beep but does not register when I press "down" on the remote. Then after a bit of time, the receiver makes a long beep.

Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot or resolve?
