Limo Tax

I see a car for sale on DD at the moment and the owner claims it has the guts of a year However it's Limo Tax. I assume that if a private individual bought the car that they couldn't avail of the remaining months of tax?? It's probably the same as buying a commercially taxed vehicle as a private car?
