Travelling with son.

Hi, Canadian living & working in Ireland, bringing son to Canada to visit grandma and grandpa, I have a current Canadian passport and son has Irish passport. (Son has out of date Canadian passport also). Will I need a visa for son to travel to Canada. The Canadian information on this is not very clear and their website is under maintenance. Thanks for all advice.

If son is a Canadian citizen then son likely needs a Canadian passport or authorisation to enter Canada

He has a Canadian passport but it's out of date.

Well then he will be travelling on his irish passport so yes he will unless he renews the Cabadian passport

Well then it needs to be renewed. All Canadian citizens have to enter on a Canadian passport, it has been this way since 2016 (since they brought in the ETA)
