Does anyone recognise what this guy is? It’s not what I usually see in our house. The shiny hairless legs gave me the heebie jeebies more so than a normal hairy one.

I’ve also noticed that we’re overrun by the giant ones that come out this time of year, caught and released 6 so far!

Found this guy in my fridge this morning 😬 think it's a false widow also? Have had a few of these guys around, mostly outside though.

there are plenty of species in the genus steatoda - and we have at least one native to ireland, which i suspect is suffering with people assuming it's the introduced one!

I think mine looks like the invasive one alright, sinister looking thing up close! I knew it looked different from what I normally see. There must be a nest in the house somewhere as I found another last night.
