Where did that expression come from? Seen it on obits of young people! Is it a non religious version of rest in peace?

It's helpful advice to ensure they get high enough to sleep with the angles.*

    *No, that's not a typo

Probably OK if it's exclusive to 'obits'.

    Personally hate it.

Also the light up a room expression.

So many lighting up rooms, it's a wonder we need the electric companies.

Seriously though, I think a lot of young people do not actually realise what death and being dead is.

Lol at 'angles'. Have actually seen this in a few obits..proof people don't read what they type🥴

A couple of fat lines in the jacks in Dublin airport before you head off to the Balearics?

    I don't think it's from not checking what they've typed, it's a common misspelling.

At least some of the time the angles thing is autocorrect doing it's evil work. Same with definitely autocorrected as defiantly. Auto correct has made a moron of me quite a few times. That's my story, I'm sticking with it.

It's just something to say when a person dies. There's not much that can be said - and it's to fill a gap. Yeah it makes no sense, but neither does "rest in peace" or "sleep well".

The one I find bizarre is when dozens of them reply to a post about a bereavement with "head high". Seems totally the wrong context to me.
