Water Pump with 10m suction?

Bit of an odd question, I am looking for a water pump with a suction of 10m. Most of the petrol ones I have found 2" or 3" seem to have a suction of 7m and some 8m but can't see any with circa 10m

The max output of course is 20-30m but its the suction I am looking at and wondering if any available?

Or sorry does the suction 7m refer to the maximum height it can pull up from and not the distance? Thanks

Do you mean a suction lift from say a well or similar? Theoretically atmospheric pressure at 1 bar absolute 10 meter lift, but practically speaking due to pipe friction loses and the pump requiremunt of ~ a NPSH of 2M then practically speaking, a suction lift of say 6 to 7M with a primed pump.

I want to lift the water out of a tank which is maybe 2m deep. But I want to put the pump into a shed which is probably a little bit less than 10m away from the tank. So the pipe would go down 2m then run for about 8m on a flat surface. Just wondering if that would work?

Any reason the pump cant be in the tank ?

    Sorry.

you want to dry mount it.

You'll have to prime it each time or find one that can auto prime. could be expensive

You might and only might get away with a with a very lightly loaded foot valve especially if you have a bit of head height above the pump.

The distance will only be a problem if the suction pipe friction head loss is excessive, what is the pipe ID and the pumping rate??.
