Central locking fault

    So the young lads 08 Ibiza has developed a fault, when you lock the car using the key fob, car locks & a little red led flashes but after a period of time, sometimes hours, out of the blue the car unlocks & led stops flashing. Lock again & could be fine for 6 / 7 hours.

    Only recent thing done was a new car battery a few months back, not 100% sure when this started but think only in the last couple of weeks,

    Any thoughts on what the issue may be?

    I had an Ibiza a few years ago. I vaguely remember something in the owners manual about resetting the key after a dead battery. Something like putting in and taking it out the ignition a couple of times. Worth seeing if there is a troubleshooting section in the manual.
