Hi. I've had some time off work recently and have brought my 10 year old nephew fishing a number of times recently but it's been extremely quiet. Mainly spinning in rivers in the midlands. The water is higher than normal due to the rain we had this summer. Some have told me that this is possibly a reason for the poor fishing. Is is bad everywhere at the moment? We are using decent dependable lures but nothing is happening bar a few small perch. Very few!! Maybe I should hold off for a while?
