My own experience is that a house in my neighbourhood had it done and 15 years later the roof rafter/ceiling joist/wall plate joint failed all the way along due to rot

Thanks for sharing. Even though it's nothing that hasn't been explained to posters on here, time and time again, it's good to have this type of documentation in a video format.
