Plugin for Shopify Product Variations

Can anyone recommend a plugin for Shopify product variations? I want product images isolated to each variation and I do not want all images appearing together anywhere on the product page. I'm changing my website over from Wix, and from what I can product variations are only possible on Shopify with a plugin.

From the Shopify help docs it does not sound like you need a plugin - it's core functionality.

You can only choose one image per variant on Shopify so it really isn't any use. I think a plugin is needed to add more.
