Guestimate/Suggestions - Respraying an Mx-5

    Hi folks.


    I've a 1998 Mx-5 that I recently bought a hardtop for.

    I've been debating getting the car resprayed, but I don't really know anyone who'd do it, nor do I know anyone to ask to get a price off.

    I'd be going with the same colour, standard Mica Green, not a windows out job, doing all the masking and prep work myself - obviously it's bloody hard to estimate a price but would anyone care to wager?

    Otherwise I'm just tempted to respray the horrid yellow hardtop rattle can green

    Might be tough to get someone to do the paint work if you are doing the prep work yourself.

    Most painters will want to do the prep work themselves as it is so important in getting a good

    finish.

    I was thinking that alright, but with the prep being so laborious I don't think I'd be getting the car resprayed if I was also paying for the prep..
