So I've been wasting more time as usual doing some Street View travelling and just noticed this near Athy. I haven't seen this setup that often, if ever, except on a narrow bridge. Maybe it's something to do with combine harvester and other farm machinery activity in this area? Something must have happened, walls got knocked down or trucks got stuck that led them to implement this.

Strange indeed. Although this is the same Kildare County Council that installed a traffic lights ahead sign (red, amber, green) in Kildare Town a number of years ago with the sign upside down. Assuming someone just had a bad day, I duly informed them. Four years later the sign was still upside down.
