Working for a large company too, and in a bit of a funny position when it comes to hierarchy.
Due to a promotion in a technical field, I'm theoretically at the same level as my manager, and again theoretically have a greater responsibility for technical strategy, but in practice, I'm below him on the org chart.
When it comes to certain invites, I know I get left out due to the org chart setup, whereas I sometimes think I should be included due to my level.
