Bit of a random advice request for a relative …

Ryanair & Aer Lingus ticket desks @ Dublin Airport….what sort of % price difference could you be looking at if you are just in the airport and approach the ticket desk in the terminal to purchase a ticket for a flight approximately 9 weeks away ? will you be screwed on pricing vs online ? The same price or a minor difference… ?

this person is not remotely internet savvy and last time anyone tried to book on their behalf online it was 17 phone calls, in depth negotiations, repeating oneself and changing of minds and, anyway a disaster…. Thanks.

To my knowledge the ticket desks don't actually SELL tickets. Its more for rerouting and cancellations.

Just go to a travel agent. They will charge a small commission.

I was waiting on an Aer Lingus flight a few weeks ago which was cancelled, walked over to T1 and went to the Lufthansa counter and they wouldnt sell me a ticket so had to book one on my phone at the desk

They do, in the case of Ryanair you can't buy a flight so close to departure online.

You will get screwed on price as people buying at the airport are normally desperate.
