What would they fine you in court for illegal registration plates?

    Sorry for incorrect forum I'm still new and have no idea how to post in motoring forums.


    I see everywhere online it says 5000 euro fine for illegal registration plates.

    Is this the maximum or the only one?

    Is there a minimum to this?


    I'll have upcoming court for this and just want to know what I'll potentially be fined?

    the garda gave me 5 days to change them and present unfortunately I ordered them online and took longer to get here everything is legal now
