    Any opinions on the above.

Looking at one that's for sale. Would be using it mostly for foxing at night.

Would also be using it during daylight for deer spotting. My deer shooting is mostly in and next to evergreen forestry. Would hope to use it to find the (thankfully) very odd runner that makes it back to the trees.

Would you spot a downed deer under the trees with it.

Anyone any idea if you could follow a fresh blood trail with it. Fresh as in within a few minutes of the shot.

    Thanks Kat1170

Used one for a few months for foxing and I found it fine. When zoomed up picture would be pixelated so I always left it on base mag.I used it to find a couple of fox that made it maybe 30yrds into thick undergrowth after leaving them for up to an hour as I knew they were dead runners.

I now use the little brother of it the c2w which is half the price and picture wise is probably half as good, but I only use them for spotting heat and then use pard to identify.Fox and badger with both out to 200yrds easy to identify but just a bit clearer with the e3w, further out with both you can see heat but would need NV to identify positive Id on the animal.

I've sheep and I can count them easy enough at 400yrds with both. The e3w has a better refresh rate than my cheaper one and that's noticeable. As base thermals go I'd say they're grand but I'd say never look through an expensive one or you'll be looking to upgrade.
