    Hi all,

Looking to insulate garage internal walls myself and then plasterboard.

Garage built with cavity blocks (see attached). Garage is bone dry all year round bar some minor damp coming through a very small area during heavy driving winter rain.

What are the options for insulation?

Is Kingspan insulated plasterboard direct to cavity block a typical approach if I sort the minor damp?

Maybe a breathable membrane (tyvex roof membrane) could be applied to wall prior to fixing insulated plasterboard?

or maybe I need stud partition 50mm out from wall?

    thanks
