Changes in Brave browser breaking aib app?

Am I the only one. App opens ok can check balances, but the the authentication page, which opens in Brave , stops the show.

I get

Judge cleared cache, but wish to avoid reinstall of a banking app

After changing default browser back to Chrome it works

Brave is not going to be on any bank's test list, they will just test top two or may be three....

Same issue here. Brave is based on Chrome with some extra privacy stuff on top. It worked just fine until a few days ago. Unfortunately on Android you can only set a default browser system wide and not on a per app basis so if you want to use the AIB app you're stuck with Chrome opening all other links.

@Alun yep, last update was the spanner in the works. Might try again after next update 👍

Proxy

Latest updated introduced a feature setting "Allow app links to open in apps outside of Brave" which can block this redirect when off.

Go into your Brave settings, swipe down to "Other privacy settings" and its the first setting - turn it on to allow the link to open.

Oops, not working again. Just can't trust Brave as default browser. It wasn't a banking site, but Lidl Plus app, uses a redirect to browser for authentication. So will be leaving Chrome set as default browser from now on🤕, avoid the headaches.
