speak to Ryanair and see what they say first

This could be a decent bet.

Get in touch with customer service and explain the situation. I had a scenario a few years ago where i had booked flights for myself and 2 friends with Ryanair. Days before we flew out one of the guys had to pull out as his child was diagnosed with cancer.

Needless to say i wasn't going to go chasing my mate for his part of the flight so i chanced it with a refund from Ryanair. So the good news is they are amenable to refunding on compassionate grounds such as this. The bad news is they will look for proof of what you say.

In my case i just moved on. Was no way i was going to chase my mate up for it nor ask him for some sort of proof his kid was as unwell as she was. Up to yourself how you approach that one i guess.

Good luck either way. Sounds like one way or another the next month or so is going to be tough.

Getting touch the forum way which seems to be the only way now, is pretty much the only way they look at it, they only give you one file to send them , whats rather annoying is i have a seat for a flight tomorrow that im sure somebody could use, but will prob just be scrapped now, was thinking of getting in touch with my travel insurance

Update on this as I said previous the circumstances changed when I sent my original submission in but I could not update on their form as they only take one submission, anyway my parent died the day before I was suppose to fly so I got back an email from them today declining any refund telling me to get in touch with my insurer, well I have replied to ryanair now with the death certificate if this fails can I take this further or must I go to my travel insurer under these circumstances

This might be of help, I got money back a few times from airlines https://help.ryanair.com/hc/en-ie/articles/12896217914129-Am-I-entitled-to-a-refund-of-Government-Tax- It might give you some money back depending how much tax was paid for the flight.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

Yea thanks but seems you can only make one application even though I’m trying to update it
