Mk7 golf injector problems

    Hey all,

So the girlfriend's golf developed an issue recently when it is started from cold when left overnight, rough idling and rev needle is dancing and it's shaking a bit but when you move off it would be fine after a couple of seconds and the same when you started it though the day so we took it to the garage and they have come back and said that seemingly all four injectors need to be replaced and that they have to still come back with an actual price but that its gonna be close to 2k for the work? Car has about 100000 mile on it and its 2016 1.6tdi

mapfre warranty was mentioned costing about €300 and that it would cover the work, reviews suggest its not worth the paper its written on. Obviously we'd be aiming for a 2nd and possible 3rd opinion but anyway.

    Any thoughts?

Purchasing a warranty on an already broken car in the hopes that they will fix it probably isn’t the best idea anyway

Even if the car was mechanically ok would even Mapfre provide cover on a car with 100k miles on it? Cannot find anything regarding criteria on their website but I'd imagine there surely has to be a mileage and/or age limitation at the time of taking out the policy.

They would, but I think Mapfre is only for dealer’s anyway.
