Clutch question

Paid through the nose six months ago for a full clutch replacement on a 10 year old car, flywheel etc. All of a sudden the other day there was a noise and then I began having problems putting it into gear. I arrived home just about, and then sitting in the car the next day with engine off seems to be going into gear again, although I haven't taken it out for a spin as am afraid to break down.

Any idea what it could be? I had no clutch problem for 4 years prior to having it done 6 months back.

Provide more information - model, year, engine etc. Without these details it's tough to answer this with any decent response.

If you're concerned that it'll be damaged on next drive then I'd have it towed to the garage for inspection. Check if transmission is leaking for example, does the engine idle as normal, are temps ok?
