Self-employed, have been offered a PAYE temporary position

I've been registered as a sole-trader for around 2 years now, went back to college and then went on jobseekers when I finished college. I am trying to go back to a PAYE position and i've been offered a temporary contract somewhere, and I am hoping to get a permanent position afterwards.

Does anyone know if I need to do anything for this temporary position tax wise?

I am planning to de-register as self-employed but only after I get a permanent position, unless I need to for this temporary position. Thanks for any advice.

You just need to ensure that your new PAYE employment is registered and that's your tax credits and rate band are allocated to it. This is just like anyone else.

On the self assessment side, when it comes to filing your 2023 form 11 tax return on ROS, your PAYE income and tax paid for 2023 should automatically pre-populate on the return.

Whenever you deregister for Income Tax you'll still have to file a form 11 for that tax year.
