Why does my car bluetooth drop out constantly?

    Hi

I have a VW Tiguan and also a Nissan Van. Why does the bluetooth constantly drop out in both? It runs fine for a few minutes and then stops and i have to hit play on car stereo to get it going again. I thought it might be my phone but checked it with normal bluetooth speakers and it never drops out.

I deleted the phone from both bluetooth systems and i re-paired but still the problem is there.

Was hoping someone had any ideas whats wrong.

    Thanks

Are you using Spotify for your music stream? Would it be a data coverage issue when you're out and about or are your Spotify tracks "offline".

Spotify does pause if it's not a downloaded track and you lose coverage but it's been a while since it happened to me, can't remember if it starts playing again by itself or not. It was happening to me even in coverage when the sound quality was set to high, but mobile network seemed to be slow that day in general.

Usually Bluetooth is pretty solid once connected. Doubt it's your stereo if it's happening with two of them. Try testing with downloaded songs.

Father in law has a Nissan NV400 (is that your van?) and something goes wrong with his Bluetooth connection every couple of days, I get called out to delete and re-pair the connection. It's driving me mad. I'll be interested to see if you figure it out.

What phone are you using? I had this issue with a galaxy S22 ultra, didn’t matter what car I drove, the Bluetooth kept dropping constantly.

Is it just stopping playing and you have to hit play?

Or is the phone actually disconnecting from the vehicle?

Hi. It stops mid song. still connected. I hit play and the song will either restart or continue

Then it's not a problem with Bluetooth, if it was it would be disconnected.

It's likely your are receiving a notification or something on your phone, mine does this the odd time too.

Not receiving any notification. If that was the case I would have the same problem on home bluetooth speaker but I don't. I'm baffled!

No idea. Are you using android auto? Mine would stay connected to my Bluetooth headphones but any car I tried to connect on had this issue. I was on to Samsung support and they were no help, suggested a factory reset, which didn’t do anything. My sister in law works in a company that uses Samsung phones for the employee phones. She asked around and out of her team of 20 odd people, 3 others had the same issue with the S22 ultra.

It’s down to issues with your mobile data coverage as you move along the way, mini breaks interrupting the play.

But I've spoken to others and they don't have this problem

If you were to park-up in either vehicle in your driveway running purely from WiFi from the home to your mobile does the same thing happen? That if no issue would point to mobile data problem.

Is there any other Bluetooth devices connected at the same time? Like a smart watch.
