    It is in the practice we go to, my daughter has a GMS card and had it done by the practice nurse with no charge.

    I guess it must be one of those things that falls into a grey area, so.

    Surgeries can charge for certain things if they want too. There was an interesting thread recently on surgeries charging for taking blood samples. Some surgeries charge for this (and put it down to transport costs) and some don't.

    Ear irrigation must be another of those areas.
