    Hello. Does anyone know if I can update after OS mountain lion 10.8 please? I want to sell it as I'm not using it but don't want to fool anyone around. Thanks!

    If it's a 15", you can update as far as Catalina: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210222

    It might be worth you considering not updating the OS as that might actually add value for some. For instance I am not updating my late 2012 Macbook Pro Retina beyond El Capitan, 10.11, because my stand alone copy of Photoshop won't run on any later OS.

    Apple also retired iTunes after El Capitan, I believe, and some did not like the replacements.
