New 50 inch

Hello

Could I get advice on a 50" tv please. I would like a 50" good quality TV. I use TV for basic channels in evenings and watch film at weekends. Budget upto 1500 but maybe with my TV usage something cheap and cheerful might be best. Could you recommend some good tvs please.

If you're looking for a good 50" TV which is well spec'd for daily use I highly recommend the Philips TVs. We just received a batch of the new 50PUS8108 which has a great 4K panel, an Andoid operating system, Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1 with VRR and Ambilight. We have them on offer for 629 euro at the moment:

Could you fit in a 55" TV though? We actually have a 55OLED807 on offer with a free Wharfedale soundbar at 1299 euro - it's the same price as the 48" and has an OLED panel which is still the gold standard for image quality.

Hello @Richersounds.ie: DavidS Thanks for the info. May actually be able to go 55 if wife let's me hang it. The 55 does look nice. I am going to try pop into a store that to see it physically and get back to you. Any other 55 Inch tvs close to this?

To get a similar spec in a different TV you'd be going to the new LG OLED55C34 which is 1899 euro. I think that Philips OLED is one of the better TVs for the money at the moment.

The Philips 55OLED807 has now sold out as it was a limited stock offer unfortunately.

I do have our display unit left which I could offer at £975 / 1129€ delivered and it would still include our VIP 6 year guarantee.

It would be boxed in original box and include all accessories.

You could perhaps check out the LG 55C14 which can now be shipped priced at £999 / 1199€
