Citroen Berlingo - engine cuts out intermittently

I recently bought privately a 2015 Berlingo Van 1.6D. The engine cuts out intermittently after gear changes in the lower gears (1st and 2nd). The radio goes off, all lights on the dash disappear - no warning lights or error messages. It’s as if you switch-off the ignition suddenly. The good thing is that once you turn the ignition back on it restarts immediately. Left it in with my local garage. They plugged it in but could find nothing - no reported faults. It didn’t happen for the last 3 weeks then happened again 3 times yesterday. Any ideas?

Is the battery connections tight? Is the other end of the battery connection where it bolts to the car chassis tight and not corroded?

Is there a ground connection from engine to chassis? Is there a live battery connection to starter motor that goes on to the rest of the car and fuse box that is corroded?

Would it be suction control valve?

Unlikely. That wouldn't cause the radio and other ancillaries to switch off at the same time. A loose connection somewhere sounds more plausible. It's intermittent with no logged faults so could be difficult to find.

Yes, battery connections all appear good - it does feel like a loose connection somewhere. I've no idea how it will be resolved!
