Claiming back VRT I paid if moving back to NI

I moved into Eire from NI & paid the VRT on my vehicle 4 years ago and I am now moving back to the North. Is it worth looking into trying to claim back the VRT I paid (I read at that time that a % could be claimed back) or would it be better to try to sell the car in Eire and buy a new car in NI? I'm not sure what % I'd qualify to claim back though, I'd need to look into that further. Has anyone else ever looked into this?

Only in the Irish language, in the English language it's Ireland, and the rest of the post is written in English hence my confusion. Article 4 of the Constitution refers.

Lot of the bigger petrol are exprted near end of life purely to do this.

Brother did it with an A3 years ago.
