    Hi all,

Heading to NYC on Saturday, any tips for a first time traveller to the USA, I’ve done the ESTA and it’s approved, I presume the digital version is sufficient? Any tips for a smooth US trip appreciated.

    thanks

ESTA is linked to your passport. Give yourself plenty of time at Dublin Airport as I imagine it will be busy.

Use Revolut card if you have one. NYC has become very expensive since the pandemic - tipping in bars and restaurants runs between 15/20% so factor this in to your budget. Utilize the subway as much as you can - weather forecast is VERY hot so stay hydrated !

Digital version is fine. Get a subway pass for the week. Excellent value. I haven't been in a few years but the pass was $29 for the week. Its has probably changed since then but it's probably good value. Try and prebook tickets to the bigger attractions. You'll probably have lengthy queues otherwise.
