Moving House And Need To Change Address On Shotgun license

Hi,

I will be moving house soon located in different County.

I believe I have to complete a FCA2 form and hand it into my current local Garda station.

What I am not sure about is when I hand in the form. Do I need to hand it before I move or after the move or does it actually matter ?

So I moved recently and changed over my licenses. I handed the forms in to my new local Garda station after I moved house. The day after in fact.

I guess the rule of thumb is to submit the forms when the shotgun moves.

Just out of curiosity, did the expiration date on the license change?

Okay so I was going to hand in the forms to my current local Garda station the day before I leave :-) ... I'm probably way over thinking this btw :-)

Pretty sure you have to hand the forms in at your new local (i.e. local to your new gaff). That's what I did anyway and all went smoothly. CPO might want to come out and inspect your security and safe etc.

Licenses came back pretty quick as well.
