USB Drive Issue

Not sure if this is applicable to this fourm, if so please move to approaite thread thanks when i plug in my USB drive to my laptop its makes a noise and then i get the dreaded message 'the USB drive is not recognised', i have tried a few things from Youtube but nothing working sadly. Reckon something inside it is broke…

Looks like its broken. Is it Flash Drive or hard drive.
USB Drive is meaningless. Lots of things connect via USB.

Is it a good known make? You might be able to return it. Assuming you've nothing sensitive on it. I don't find Flash drives that reliable or quick. I switched to External SSDs like a SanDisk. Etc.
