I have an aerial in the attic, signal on channel 26 is around 70-80%. I'm able to get all other Saorview channels (even one's I didn't know they were broadcast). I've scanned on MUX1 and MUX2 but RTE2 still will not pick up. Any ideas?

Are you also missing the other channels on Mux1, Tg4, RTE News etc.?

What is the signal strength and quality readings for both muxes?

What is the signal strength and quality on channel 23?

    Many thanks for your response.

You're right. I'm not getting tnag or rte news. My TV will not give me any mux information. What would cause me to be able to see mux2 perfectly but nothing onux1

Low signal quality in the attic, misaligned aerial, a bad connection somewhere in the install, something in the attic interfering, something else.

Are you just setting this up now? Did it work ok previously?

Is it a direct cable between aerial and TV, i.e. no other connections or amps?

Initially I would check all accessible connections for security, followed by moving the aerial around the attic to check for optimum signal strength/quality.

How far are you from Mt Leinster?

If signal quality is the issue moving the aerial outside could resolve the issue.

Is there a coloured tip on your aerial? Ideally it should be a group A type aerial (red tip) and horizontally mounted, pointing directly towards Mount Leinster.

Thanks for the comments guys. I used to get all the channels when my aerial was placed in a different area of my attic. I'll move it around and test.

    Much appreciated
