New power hose recommendations.

Looking to buy a new powerhose. Never had a decent one.

Unsure electric or generator but electric seems more handy than logging barrels around.

Wanted for general work cleaning sheds and cleaning around the house and yard outside which is cursed with green algae.

No budget as such and happy to pay for quality.

Get the cone nozzle anyway, speeds up the job a good bit. Also get a bullet for cleaning drains when you’re buying.

Yeah it won't have the grunt of a pto one but it will do the job just a little slower but very mobile and quick to get going .we use the pto one maybe 2 or 3 times a year but the kranzle does something every week

I bought a kranzle (2160 I think) last year after having a karcher for a couple of years that broke down. The kranzle was probably 2.5 times the price but can’t fault it so far and the build quality is excellent compared to the karcher.

we have a pro power washer for the shed and the kranzle for implements, machinery and around the house.

as mentioned above, a long hose is a must. Save a lot of messing about

Another thumbs up for Kranzle here. I have one for two years. A bit heavy to lug around but they are a great washer

Kranzle seems to be the main game in town so.

From a useability point of view what’s the difference between the kranzle ones on wheels vs the “stationary” ones. E.g below. Is it just the convienece for storage?

W do they mean by suction height on these spec when all these are direct feed?

I was in a yard years ago and saw a brilliant set up with a Hawk pto power washer. The farmer had made a frame that held a 200l blue barrel on the pto arms above the power washer on a 2wd International. I think it may have been a 674 which had both 540 and 1000 pto shafts.

With the increase in electricity cost has anyone any idea of say 1 hour run cost of kranzle v pto for example.

No but I’ve the same set up this years on an old case. I’ve got a 1000lt rectangular oil tank that I lift with the front loader now following it.

The Kranzle are about 3 KW. So about 3 units of electricity an hour or about 1.2euro/ hour.

I would be we consider electrical equipment expensive to run. Petrol equipment is much more expensive to run

Dear to run but a good make and bigger model is a serious bit of kit if you can get an ibc of water to what you want to wash you can work anywhere

Can that be barrel/ibc fed? I've a Karcher mains fed one that doesn't work anymore due to low mains pressure.

Yes it can be fed suction fed from a barrell. Remember if doing a bit keep the hose filling into the barrell as it motors through water that way

Had a good go of it yesterday. Reassuringly heavy!

15m hose is a good job in comparison to the 5m house used to have. Did all around the house in no time!

No its only 2 years old. While it has done a bit it has still not done more than 150-200 hours.

I have not got the reel. On my one. I think it cost me 960 euro about two years ago( my fourth or fifth Lidl/Karcher/ Homelite) went belly up.

Believe it or not the Lidl was as good as the Karcher to last.

Just re using the Kranzle flat v standing up, is that because of oil in the pump? I'm pretty sure I've used it standing up from time to time...

Yes it to do with the oil and the pump head on the top of the washer. I have it written on permanent marker on the side of the power washer. After a while you remember all the time

ya it’s a big no no to use standing up according to the guy who sold me my one. It’s also on a sticker on the side.
