I host content from my desktop computer for family via Plex would this drive be suitable as a media drive for that running alongside my SSD and other drives that are used for day to day work etc?

Fine for that, mid-range reliable drives intended for near continuous operation in NAS and widely used in SOHO and other servers.

If you decide to go for RAID at some point, just make sure the discs are alike particularly avoid mixing CMR with SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) drives.

Great deal! Last time I bought these for my NAS I paid €137 each. Order 2 as spares now.
