EML showing on the dash

The EML was showing an orange light in the dash. The fault shows as Lock Sensor - anyone know what is that. The mechanic turned off the light in the dash. What needs to be done to fix it?

Steering lock? The fault code really needs to be scanned to figure out what issue it may point to. Turning off the light won't fix the problem if it's still there, it will just reappear again until fixed.

The mechanic is the person you should be asking. No one here can you give you the correct answer. Especially without knowing the make, model, fault code, symptoms etc

It was tested for the fault and came up as Lock Sensor I do not know the actual fault code. It is a 2005, Honda Accord, petrol. There are no symptoms when driving, only the EML.

By any chance was it knock sensor rather than lock sensor?

Just a question about the EML light in general and the cost of getting it checked out, my hyundai i40 131 failed nct because the light was on, went to a garage in an industrial estate not a main dealer, they hooked it up and also replaced a tie rod which I don't think was expensive, so they came back to me for a bill of 566 and plus I need a new timing chain, labour was 7 hours x 60e - 420e, now he quoted me 1000e for the new timing chain, so basically I know what is wrong now but that cost me the 566 or most of it, and the light is still on until I sort the timing chain, is the 566 a bit excessive just for the computer test? Can I bring it to another garage now with the results from a different garage?
