Hi all,
I have just chased the wall slightly to run & hide cable/wiring behind existing skirting board in a hallway. Now there has always existed a slight gap under the skirting board and floor tiles, which I would like to fill with a clear silicone sealant.
What is the best multi-purpose clear sealant to use?
Anyone with genuine advice or suggestions will be appreciated.

What colour is the skirting and tiles?
Clear sealant will appear black when it's between light colours.
I'd use caulk and paint it with the skirting the next time round.

The skirting board is pine wood colour, so the white caulk would be hard to colour similar even with wood pine colouring, that's why I feel a clear sealant would look more practical.
