    17 y/o beginner here and looking for something that's friendly to that, doesn't force competitive involvement (doesn't mean it can't have any) but is serious in genuine improvement/practical effectiveness and preferably has a good record of experienced instructors/strong reputation

    doesn't necessarily need to be the named arts (hence the etc.) but should be smth practical (no fairy dancing shite basically haha)

    any help is v appreciated, thanks!
