    Hello,

We are installing a wood pellet stove, we have purchased a granite slab. My question is can we just lay the slab on the cement floor.

No, as the weight of the slab and stove could crack the slab. The slab is usually bedded onto the floor using a tiling adhesive so that any unevenness underneath is removed and the slab is then fully supported along the base. So all good guidance would be to sick it down with a tiling adhesive and let it set fully before installing the stove.
